Today, new health insurance Marketplace coverage options offer more opportunities for everyone to find affordable plans that suit their needs and budget. According to Walsh in his article on The Tennessean, “Most insurance plans are now required to cover common-sense benefits, like annual visits to your doctor, prescription medications, hospital stays, maternity and newborn care and certain preventive services that are provided at no out-of-pocket cost.” For those who aren’t aware, the Health Insurance Marketplace, otherwise known as the Health Insurance Exchange, is where people can find and purchase health care insurance. Healthcare.gov is the federally-facilitated Marketplace, but there are also state-based Marketplaces.
